#1 Album Sales for 2010: Super Junior – GAON CHARTS

‘Gaon Chart‘ will hold a vision announcement conference for 2010/2011 on February 9th.
While that may sound a little dull, the organization plans to reveal 2010’s top albums through a special awards ceremony. The nominees were based on the most online and offline album sales of 2010.
The ‘#1 album sales of 2010′ distinction went to none other than Super Junior, thanks to their fourth album, ”Bonamana“. miss A, G.NA, Kang Seung Yoon, Lee Seung Chul and many others will also receive awards for their performance in the album and digital sales categories.
A representative from the Music Industry Association of Korea stated, “We’ll be releasing accurate data for fairness in our analysis of the music market. After the conference, we will be releasing all music-related data through our homepage.”
The event is certainly substantial, as invitations sent out to the singers, important representatives of the music industry, broadcast writers and producers, as well as to the members of the press.

LIKE SCHMEPSY SAID, IT’S ABOUT TIME.

A Sudden Outburst

I thought I would never react. I don’t want to ruin the prestige of GDA. But as facts are presented and evidences to support it are continuously emerging out, I felt the urge to speak out.
It took me a while to understand what’s happening. I’ve read a lot of accounts and tried to figure out what went wrong. I saw the post on SJ-Market about K-ELF wanting to sue GDA for the fraud and that got me thinking… Was it really fair?
God knows how much I tried to convince myself that it was. The palpable reputation of GDA was really something I cannot compromise. However, things drastically changed when I saw the fancams of the ‘relay’ and the card-hiding incident
And I realized that yes, that award was supposed to be ours.
Personally, I think they are informed beforehand that they are winners. But we know it, as well anyway. The ratings gave it away.
But there was a sudden change and with a sudden notice, the truth was defied and the rightful winners are denied of the opportunity to make history.
Again, I don’t have anything against SNSD. But GDA, I don’t know anymore.
Sorry for the sudden outburst.
It’s just that I hate seeing Jungsoo so disappointed… Because he… he never disappoints.

It’s Yet Another Example.

SOMEONE STAYED STRONG… AGAIN.

It was another disappointment and I am obviously not over it yet. It was two nights ago already and the pain is still fresh up to this very minute. Though I can’t cry anymore, I still feel the depression and frustration over what happened.
But I think I’ll get by sooner than I expected.
Thanks to this wonderful angel again.
When they didn’t win, Jungsoo was my first thought. Well, of course, he should be. I’ve been praying for this award since I know that this is what he really wanted. This was what he has been working hard for.
But he didn’t get it. We weren’t able to give it to him.
So he cried in the same frustration and despair that we all did.
But the next day, I was convinced that somehow he is okay.
He drank with Heechul the whole night after GDA. I guess that’s the reason why he tweeted he wouldn’t sleep. Then the next day, he tweeted a very random message saying ‘GIVE ME BACK MY 500 WON!!!!!’. And I knew right then and there that I have fallen in love with the angel more.
Because for the nth time, he stayed strong.
Like how I always believed, strength is how one keeps his composure despite the sad turnouts of events. But it also refer to the ability to get up and stand again after falling real hard.

JUNGSOO HAS BOTH KINDS OF STRENGTH.

Indeed, I made the right decision of loving this guy.

Let’s Make It Up to the Boys!

I’m still trying to get over the frustration and depression over Super Junior not being able to win this year’s Disk Daesang.
Truthfully, I don’t have anything against SNSD. In fact, if they didn’t compete against the boys, I would’ve cheered for them. So first and foremost, I would like to state that no bashing of the girls is happening. ELF are merely stating their disappointments toward what happens.
I wish that those who wouldn’t believe will find in their hearts that their idols are girls, and @teukables is right, they don’t need to go to the army. Whereas, our boys are bound for duty starting next year.
Please. No bashing intended. But stop it. You’re just making it things worse for us.
….
So let’s go to my point.
The boys are disappointed. It was even said that Jungsoo and Donghae didn’t join the congratulatory picture because they were crying. Siwon was obviously disappointed too, as this is their only dream every year.
We’re all butthurting too.
But here’s something that made me cheer up: The boys’ true award is US.
We are their true Disk Daesang. We are their true recognition. We are their ultimate prized possession. That’s why we have to assure them that we are still here, and that we will never be leaving their sides.
For Philippine ELF and all others whose country is yet to be visited by SS3 this coming year, we have the responsibility to make them see that they are well-loved and well-appreciated.
Guys, I call that we participate in all the fan projects for the Super Shows in our respective countries. This is the best thing we could ever do to compensate. This is the only way we could let them realize that they are still winners, with or without the title…
And by that, they have already created history.
Philippine ELF in particular, we are still presented with our last chance. Let’s make it successful. Let’s make it up to them.
This time, let’s make them cry again… Not because of disappointment, but because of overwhelming joy.
PLEASE JOIN AND COOPERATE WITH THE FAN PROJECTS.

Brotherhood

Sometimes, it takes just one person to console you from everything that has happened. Sometimes, it takes just a few hugs to be assured once again that everything’s gonna be right. Sometimes, it takes one brave person to do not mind the pain you’re both feeling to get you back to the real purpose why you’re living.

SOMETIMES, IT TAKES ONE HEECHUL TO MAKE ONE LEETEUK OKAY.

What You See Isn’t Always What You Get

THIS IS KIM HEECHUL.

It’s not just because I’m an ELF that I revere this man. It’s not because he’s damn more beautiful than any pretty girls I’ve seen. It’s not because he’s a member of Super Junior.
It’s because I know him.
His insolence, his viciousness, his vanity, his arrogance, his indifference – these things make other people believe that Heenim is up to no good and that idolizing him is not the best thing to do.
That hurts me because if I wasn’t an ELF, I would still definitely look up to this man more than how I does with anybody else in this fandom.
And I’m telling the truth.
Some people see Heenim as someone who doesn’t care about anybody except his cats. But you know what? People who thinks that way are mistaken.
Because Heenim is more than the person they think he is.
Heenim might be insolent but he knows how to appreciate. Heenim might be vicious to some but he knows when to act as such. Heenim might be indifferent but he’s a strength to his friends and brothers. Heenim might be very vain but since when does speaking the truth becomes wrong? Heenim might be arrogant but he still fears.
Truth is: First impression doesn’t always last. Heenim has long proven that to me. And as I continuously see videos of this person comforting the other members after their surprising loss in GDA, I can’t help but affirm more for myself that indeed, if there is one person I can always refer to kids as the best example, it would be Kim Heechul.
And until the day that life turns its back on me, I will carry in my heart the inspiration that this one person has set.
For he is Kim Heechul, and that is one fact that will never ever change.

The Ultimate Tearjerker

My dog just died without warnings. We were all surprised here at home. And I’m really crying and I’m sure my eyes will be puffy tomorrow.
And oh, I forgot to say I’m sick.
But what made me cry more is this:
This was taken during the Golden Wave Concert a while ago. It’s a concert held after every Golden Disk Awards night.
I know Ming cried last night, based on fan accounts. I really don’t want to believe it because Ming was the emotionally strongest member for me. He seldom cries. As much as he can, he keeps it to himself. He doesn’t want to shed tears.
But look, he just did.
I told you, a crying Ming is such a tearjerker to me. Seeing him this disappointed makes me realize more that I am to be blamed for the tears he shed. It’s such a heartbreaking sight to see. Puffy eyes, red nose… This is not the reality I wanted.
Ming have worked hard as well. This year was supposedly theirs. I still don’t get it why they won though I won’t question GDA’s decision. Nevertheless, I cry with the boys.
The picture said it all.
I see a Ming crying while waving to his fans.
But I know that it’s the very same Lee Sungmin who will work harder to bring out a better character for us – someone we can be prouder of, someone we will love more.
aa;kldf;ljk. I’ve gone random again.
Mind’s too fucked up. Loss. Death. Tears. WHAT THE FUCK IS COMING NEXT?
All pictures not mine. Credit it as tagged.

Sorry, SJ. Sorry.

I don’t know how to start. I don’t know where to begin. We failed to give the boys the best of what they really deserve. They weren’t able to get the Disk Daesang. We, ELF, weren’t able to fulfill our promise to them.
I’m literally shaking and crying right now. My heart is hurting so much like it’s gonna explode. The boys wanted that award. I have seen how much they’ve worked hard for it. And I have seen how ELF all around the world exerted effort to help.
How can I compromise with the emotions when all I just want to bow down and cry and say sorry that we weren’t able to make another history?
How can I say I’m happy for SNSD when I have seen in the faces of the boys that they were disappointed that they didn’t make it?
This is the only thing they want for themselves. This is the only thing they need.
Jungsoo wanted to be congratulated by the end of the year.
This is Heechul’s birthday wish.
It could’ve been a good compensation when Yesung didn’t win a Digital Bonsang.
And yes guys, this could have been the best keepsake we can give Jungsoo and Heechul before they enter the army.
But we couldn’t.
And you know what makes me cry harder?
It’s the fact that this would be the best news to give Kangin. This could’ve been the best gift to welcome Kibum back with.
And this could be the best reason to make Hangeng come back.

THAT DAESANG DISK SHOULD’VE BEEN OURS.

The pain is so intolerable that no other news can make me feel okay. I’m disappointed with myself. I could’ve helped more. I could’ve done more. But I wasn’t able to.
Seriously, I don’t know what to feel right now. Tears are just flowing endlessly shaming all issues broken today. The sadness on the faces of the members, particularly Donghae and Siwon… It’s still vivid in my memory. :’(
I wish I can just tell them I’m sorry.
And I wish it’ll be enough to make them feel better. :’(
